Our Team

Small by design

The person who scopes your system is the one who writes it, ships it, and answers when it needs attention. No account manager relaying the detail, and no handover to a team that has never seen the code.

CEO and Founder

Wematu James

Five years spent on systems where failure is expensive: payment integrations, a national USSD channel, and the APIs and servers holding them up. He started Wemaflex to do that work for businesses in Ghana, and to still pick up the phone once it is live.

Wematu James founded Wemaflex in Accra in 2024, after five years as a software engineer. He came up through API and integration work and grew into senior engineering roles, building and running the systems businesses depend on daily.

As a senior software engineer at previous companies, he built payment integrations and a national USSD channel carrying more than GHS 100M in transaction value, working against the ExpressPay and Hubtel gateways. Systems that move money have a narrow definition of working, and that is where his instincts come from.

His work runs the length of the stack: APIs in Node.js and Python, data in PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and the AWS and NGINX estate underneath them. Wemaflex's first delivery, the Dibanko Salifu Farms web shop and administration platform, was all of it end to end: the storefront, Paystack checkout, and the admin portal behind it.

He is the person who answers when a Wemaflex system needs attention. That is the company's whole proposition: the engineer who built your system is the one who supports it.
